Oncology Psychotherapy Maximizes Treatment Goals
Depression is common among cancer patients. The uncertainness of the disease, the disruption of routine and the rigors of the treatment all may collude to create anxiety, distrust and resentment of caregivers and treatment.
AssuraSource treats patients presenting with moderate to severe mental distress brought on by the diagnosis of cancer and its treatments. Our licensed clinical social workers are experienced in mental and behavioral health and have received special training in oncology psychotherapy. We have adopted the standards of care of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the Association of Oncology Social Work.
